PADI Advanced Open Water Qualification
The PADI Advanced Open Water qualification will allow you to continue your explorative adventures into the underwater world.
The qualification helps you to refine your diving skills and will arm you with the knowledge to enable you to dive some of the world's top dive sites in the Red Sea.
In Egypt pupils can expect to do a combination of Drift, Fish ID, Boat and Peak Performance Buoyancy amongst others. The Straits of Tiran and Ras Mohammad's Shark and Jolanda Reefs can also be explored with the relevant additional specialist equipment at extra cost.
Course structure
The course is designed so you can go straight into it after the PADI Open Water course. Normally schools have their previous Open Water divers complete this more advanced qualification the following year.
The syallbus helps you to increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the winter.
This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI instructor.
Choice of dives
You can choose from 15 types of adventure diving to complete your course, including wreck diving, night diving, peak performance buoyancy and digital underwater photography.
Compulsory topics include understanding the physiological effects of deeper scuba diving, practical aspects of deeper diving (up to 30 metres) and more ways to use your underwater compass.
You use all the basic scuba gear including your underwater compass. Depending on which three adventures dives you pick, you may also try out underwater photography equipment, DPV (underwater scooters), dive lights and dive flags.
